Sources have informed le Cup that the coaches met with the players today to inform them that they will, in fact, be headed to Dallas in January.
Your thoughts?
I know many people wanted to see our Rebels in Orlando for the Capital One bowl. While the mental images of Jerrell Powe and Peria Jerry giddily waiting in line to hop aboard a rollercoaster and Greg hardy getting his picture taken with Minnie Mouse were pretty fun, going to the Cotton Bowl is still going to be a real treat for these players. All things considered, it was nice to be debating not if, but rather which New Years Day bowl we'd get the invite to one season removed from laying a goose egg in conference play.

According to inside sources (espn.com), had we been invited to the Capital One bowl, we'd be facing off against Michigan State, not Ohio State as most of us had hoped. That information given, I'm much more excited about Texas Tech in the Cotton.
ever notice how "le cup" sounds like "look up?"
While disappointed that our game won't be nearly as exciting as Va. Tech vs Cincy in the BCS Orange Bowl [dripping sarcasm], I'm glad we can get together again in the last Cotton Bowl to be actually played in the Cotton Bowl Stadium. Just be sure to bring some of those hot babes I've heard about.
Go Tech!
Ever been to Dallas on New Year's Day? Yeah, have fun and all that...just try to act like the last SEC defense that played the all-world Techster offense in the Cotton Bowl.
tlcreb17 is just glad to see the Rebels back IN a bowl! It will be a fun time for all. The last trip to Dallas, I recall the team members hailing the Cotton as a bunch that really treated the teams well and the events were both entertaining and plentiful.
Mighty proud of Florida's performance in the SEC Championship Game!! They'll be playing for #1 and in the end, they'll still have that ONE "L" on the season brought to them by Ole Miss! Love it!
Phocion, our defense isn't capable of playing as shitty as the last SEC representative in the Cotton Bowl (Arkansas). That was one of the worst performances in all 3 phases of the game I've ever seen. Of course, they were unranked and playing against the #6 team in the nation. Not saying we'll stifle Tech's offense, since it is a mismatch rankings-wise (20 vs. 7), but we've got a solid defense.
Texas Tech rolls.
Guns up!
Phocion,
Here are some names for you to look up: Peria Jerry, Jerrell Powe, and (this guy practices w/ our 3rd string defense) Greg Hardy. Also, you might want to ask the Gators about a fella named Kentrell Lockett.
are the red raiders those faggots that make pistols with their fingers and act like cowboys?
Phocion,I believe the last time Texas Tech played in the Cotton Bowl, they put up all of 10 points against Alabama, an SEC team.
