Hey Mike Bianco, here's an idea! Hire Ron Polk! I know that sounds silly, but Polk has mentioned that he would like to return to baseball as a volunteer coach (which is the position Matt Mossberg currently holds). I think he is qualified:
1) There is probably not anyone who hates Mississippi State more right now than Ron Polk.
2) More CWS appearances as head coach than Mike Bianco can dream of. Also, he has taken 3 different teams to Omaha!
3) Has forgotten more about baseball than Mike Bianco knows.
4) Can get even the worst of teams to Omaha (read: 2007)
If you don't think this qualifies Ron to be our assistant, you are either lying or stupid.

Dude seriously, do you lay around and dream about how you hate Bianco all night? Did he wrong you in some fashion in another life? It's getting a little lame. I used to think this blog was funny, but lately you're starting to creep me out man. Put the PBR down and get off it. Yes, we underachieved this year, but damn, you've got some serious issues.

I don't understand. He didn't say anything negative about Bianco in his post. I guess point 3 could be read that way, but it was just saying that Polk knows a crap ton about baseball. I read teh blog every day and still think it's funny and informative.
I agree that the blog is informative. I'm not saying Bianco should never be criticized. However, it seems like half the posts over the past month have gone over the top to blast him. The team disappointed me, along with many others this year, and yes, Bianco deserves some blame, but this is still the same coach who has taken our program to a much higher level in the past eight years, than it had been in three decades. I'm frustrated too, but I don't have to kick a dog when he's down every chance I get.
I hear ya loud and clear. Here's the thing to keep in mind about our blog: There are 7 of us who work on this. All of our opinions are different and some of us are louder than others. If you'll notice I wrote a brief post calling for us to put more faith in our coach. It's just that Brian Walker's Elbow is our baseball guy and he's strong with our convictions. That's why it seems that all of our baseball posts are anti-Bianco because... well, they are.
I, personally, think Mike Bianco deserves better and I'm glad we're keeping him around. He'll get us to Omaha soon enough.
