How does State consistently out-market us?

We need to fire the fuck outta whoever is in charge of these kinds of things for us. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's all over the blogosphere. Look at it. It's clever, frustrating, and somewhat nauseating. It's like that one time your half retarded cousin who lost a hand in an electrical fire and who everyone's pretty sure should have been arrested that one time for rape beat you in H-O-R-S-E and made sure to mention it often. Very often.

Wait, was that just me? Oh well.

We need a sign just outside of Starkville somewhere that says something along the lines of "People forget you're in the SEC sometimes" or "Texas A&M and Georgia want their colors and mascot back, respectively."

Damn, I'm steamed. Just more fuel to the egg-bowl fire, I guess.

We did the same thing to Memphis last year putting a billboard by the LB and there was a huge thread on their board (memphistigers.org) about what a classless move it was on our part or something.

Anyways, our marketing team sucks.

The sign outside of Starkville could say "Anyhting's better than 0-8"

And I really don't want to hear the argument, "Well it's hard to sell a losing team."

Well, life is hard. Jobs marketing SEC teams are not. You have a rabid fan base that will literally gobble up merchandise every year and travel hundreds of miles and spend thousands of dollars on gas, tickets, and food just because of their losing team.

Think about what those fans want. They want to win, true. But they also want to be proud of their team and their education even when they lose.

You completely missed the point, didn't you?

Sincerely,

P.S. - Starkville is a hellhole, have a nice day.
