It's up, with comments and everything, at Garnet and Black Attack. My oh my how wacky this season has been.

Vandi jumping ahead of Florida was a joke to begin with, and the only reason they did was because they beat Auburn, while it took the Gators 3 full quarters to finally start putting away the Hogs. If Auburn wasn't a good win for the Hogs, why is it better for the Vols? Your opinion is more biased than your letting on. Arkansas win over Auburn was much more impressive because they totaled up 416 yards of offense on a Tiger defense that may just be the best in the conference. There's a good chance you won't see that again the rest of the season. Vandi damn sure didn't do it, and I bet Ole Miss won't either.; October 13, 2008 at 7:05 AM

The Red Cup Admin said...: Vandy (that's how we spell it here in the SEC) has beaten Auburn, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. Mississippi State beat them. Arkansas beat Auburn. Auburn's wins came against Mississippi State and Tennessee. OM and SC matchup better than State and UT 7 times outta 10.

Also, we never ranked Vandy higher than Florida, so we agree with your sentiment that doing so was a "joke."

One last thing: this season has been undeniably crazy. In this conference, one week's ballot does not reflect on the future of the season or even the upcoming week. Don't get so upset over one individual's ranking (for ONE week) of your Hogs at 10th, especially when I had you ranked at 12th almost all season long.

The Power Poll is a poll put together by Garnet and Black Attack, which is a South Carolina Blog. They take ballots from about two dozen blogs which span the entirety of the SEC. The final poll results for week 6 may have ranked Vandy above the Gators, but if you'll go back through and look at the Red Solo Cup ballots (http://redsolocup.blogspot.com/search/label/SEC%20Power%20Poll) you'll see that we NEVER once ranked Vanderbilt higher than Florida.
