This newest poll focuses on another matter of great importance to the Ole Miss fan base: the employment of one Sylvester Croom. No matter which way you slice it, he's a shitty head coach. Last season, he nearly became the victim of Ed Orgeron's lone SEC victory... marinate in that one for a moment.Alright, moment over. Honestly, he's done nothing more than ride a wacky 2007 season based more on luck than coaching ability into a contract extension and (short-lived) respectability. We Rebels hope that he stays at State for a long while and, with the firing of the first ever black SEC head coach being a likely media shitstorm, this may end up being the case.

Sylvester Croom is the greastes head coach of all time. When I grow up I want to be just like Coach Croom! (wink, wink)
I honestly hope they even improve a little bit next season to something like 5-7, or 6-6. That way, they are still not legitimately bowl eligible, but neither are they bad enough to justify firing him in light of what would happen per paragraph 4 of the post. As long as he stays mediocre, he stays in Starkville.
There's something telling in being able to say that when they hired Croom they Croomed their own pants.
Now let's just avoid an LSU hangover and not get Croomed ourselves. It looks like they shot their wad against Arkansas, but then again... I hope this one isn't as unnecessarily close as I feel it could turn out to be.
How do you fire a guy with that much character? Yes, he's still babbling the 'character' BS. Thankfully, now even the Miss. St. fans see through it. Oh, and the extension they gave the Walrus that matched Nutt's contract, just to spite Ole Miss...nice move. Nice.
just a reminder, that bowl poll has been up for quite a while...not sure exactly how long but im 100% sure it was up a week or so before we beat LSU...at that time, many ESPN bloggers had us at the Independence/Chick Fil-a bowl considering they didnt think we were up to the challenge (what they thought was a challenge) or beating LSU in the red stick...of course now that we lambasted LSU, its time for our return to dallas...regarding croom, hell get another year
